Composer Control Disconnected From Block
Permalink
Hello,
[ Problem ]
I'm currently dealing with a rather annoying issue to do with composer and blocks. Currently, I have a custom block set up with composer on my page defaults. It lets users select from a list of institutions and save it. However, on more than one occasion this block has become 'disconnected' from the composer element leaving me with the message 'Unable to load block in to composer. You must edit this block within the context of the page'.
[ Question ]
I'm unsure why this is happening and can't seem to recreate the issue myself. Has anyone dealt with blocks being disconnected from composer? What causes this issue, and what are my options in resolving it without recreating the page from scratch?
Thanks,
Dale

Apologies, I actually forgot I posted this issue - works been crazy lately.
Core Version - 5.7.5.10
Version Installed - 5.7.5.10
Database Version - 20160615000000
I can't recreate the error, however it's happened twice and the client is getting a bit peeved.
I agree, having some sort of functionality that lets you re-connect blocks to their composer controls would be excellent. It feels very fragile.

This feels deja vu to me. See if these seem relevant:

This seems useful, I'll pass this on to my co-worker as he created the block and see what his thoughts are.
Thanks.
Thanks.
What version of concrete5 are you using?
I have encountered this issue and am not aware of a way to reconnect them.
A change to prevent disconnection or an approach to reconnect them would make Composer that much more useful.
