I think this probably just needs a way to write the page thumbnail image into the 3rd submenu item, but not sure how to do that...

I think that kind of capability may already be in JB's Mega Menu addons.
Thanks, I just had a look. Seems like it might be, but hard to tell. I guess I can fire off a question to the developer.
This will be a fun learning project in the meantime. I think I can probably add a few lines to JordanLev's autonav template and maybe get the thumbnail to spit out...
