Copy User+Permissions from one site to another
Permalink
Hi,
is there a way to copy users and permissions from one concrete site to another (maybe through database entries <- here I just couldn't figure out what tables are all involved)??
As we're building a lot of sites with concrete it just takes up too much time to every time set up a standard user account for our client that is always allowed the same permissions (pretty much edit every site, upload everything but not allowed to extend concrete etc.)
Any help is highly appreciated of how to copy those rights or a hint of how to do it quicker!
Thx,
Tom

Does anyone have news on this topic? -still unsolved! Thanx!
Still no Solution?
Hi
This may be what you need, Import-add on from the MarketPlace at a cost of 95$ I bought this for my needs but for I have used it for products not users (yet).
http://www.concrete5.org/marketplace/addons/ecommerce-import/...
http://www.concrete5.org/marketplace/addons/all-in-the-advanced-use...
------------------------------------------------------------
From my HELP text...
Customer - import users with pre-filled in billing and shipping address information. Customers can be added to a predefined Concrete5 use group.
Order - import entire orders. This may be useful when migrating data from a legacy site. Please note: any products that are part of imported order must already exist or an error will occur and will not be included in the order.
Page - import pages with a title, meta keywords, meta description, and optional content.
Product - import products complete with all standard attributes, custom attributes, options, and images. Optionally create custom product pages for each product.
User - similar to importing customers but only imports username, password and email. Useful for setting up site administrators.
----------------------------------------------------
As you can see from the last paragraph above it says it only imports username, password and email, you may need to check with pre sales support if you can add attributes like permissions and other reqiurements etc.
Regards
Steve
