Folders outside the CMS

Hello everyone,

Maybe someone can point this out to me.

If I create a folder in the root directory of my webspace to upload, say, an image or a few HTML pages concerning a project I am working on, in order to present it to my client – how do I get there? What would be the link to that folder?

I tried
mysite.com/clients/client_a/project/index.html
which results in "Page not found".

Is there a trick or a workaround or settings to be changed?

I have pretty URLS on, if that is of any relevance in that regard.

Many thanks in advance for your help!

This is going to vary depending on how your server is set up.

If you created a folder where your concrete5 installation resides (if you see "sibling" folders such as "blocks", "concrete", "config") then you should be able to access your contents by going to

http://www.{yourdomain}.tld/{folder... name}/{file name}.ext

Concrete5 has a custom 404 page, so if you don't get the filename exactly right, it will display the "Page not found" error page.

Oops. I was simply trying to link to something that *should* have been there, but wasn't.
Putting the file there did the trick... :-)

Thanks for your reply, glockops!
