Create own Folders+rename default folders

Hi c5 People, I installed c5 yesterday and do love it. I did not find out yet where the default folders like "Home" and "Contact" are accessable. I do not want to use the default folders, I want to create own - embarassingly I did create my first site only by deleting and shoving around the existing folders and create pages. Can someone tell me how I create own folders (not pages) and how I rename existing folders/pages? Thanks and greets! Suse

Whoa, but that WAS a quick answer, thanks! But I already know how to add pages. Think I have to work a little more on c5 to get familiar with this hierarchy thingy. Still think folders must be different to simple pages ... anyway, thanks for instant answer! Greets Suse

pretty sure not. i run the company. ;)

if you're making pages through the in-context editing toolbar, you're doing the right thing.

If you're making single pages from the dashboard, you're probably doing the wrong thing at this point in the game..

if you want part of your site to look like this:

About Us
-History
-Bios
-Press Room
--Press Release A
--Press Release B
-Contact

etc..
just make an about us page off of the home of your site. goto it, add a page from there for history, repeat for bios & press room. add your press releases by first going to press room and then adding pages...

think folders in your operating system.. if you want to make a subfolder somewhere you go where its gonna live and make it.

one thing you should not be doing is making physical folders in your concrete5 install directory.. that never happens. ever.

Sometimes you want a "page" that doesn't have a content, just like a folder..

Even this works fine with concrete5. You just need a page attribute to mark a page as "content-free" and use an auto_nav template..

Just like I did here:
http://www.listo-jugendberatung.ch/...
"Wir über uns" always shows the first sub page and works therefore like a folder.

Using pages as folders is great! Guess what you can do if the customer wants to have some content in "Wir über uns"? You just uncheck that little checkbox and you're finished! Well may be not, you might want to send a huge bill for that too (:
