Creating groups of custom blocks.
Hello All,
I am in the midst of converting a website I designed and build a while back. I am new to Concrete5, and am finding it very intuitive and fun to use. I need some advice on grouping custom blocks, then reusing that group across the site.
Here is the old site:
http://halftohelp.org/index.php...
The Featured Artist column, and the Recent News Column are reused across the site.
I now have figured out how to create a custom block for the Featured Artists, so each artist thumbnail and description can now be added through the CMS. Which is nice. However, I am new to C5 and was wondering how I should reuse the entire column across the site, where needed. Any advice on grouping blocks into an entire reusable column would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Carl

And there are a few different techniques for sharing several blocks across the entire site. The two I like best are Global Areas:

and Scrapbook Display:

(both Global Area and Scrapbook Display basically do the same thing, but one is managed via an area on one designated page on your site, and the other is managed via a scrapbook in your dashboard).

PS - no need to double-post in the forums, all of the different forums are displayed in one unified view so people will usually see things in every category.
