Creating Images for Buttons

Permalink 1 user found helpful
I am trying to figure out how to edit a default image used to show that a button is highlighted. This is the theme I am modifying:http://www.concrete5.org/marketplace/themes/loadfoov2/...

I am trying to get rid of the lime color and change it to a blue. How can I modify the images on the navigation menu from green to blue? Any ideas are appreciated!

I found out that Paint.NET is the best tool for this. I was able to get a very close replica of the original images. To get the diagonal lines I used the Paint Bucket, with Fill set to Wide Upward Diagonal. Then I created another layer and made it a gradient using the Gradient tool. By simply placing the Gradient layer on top and going to it's properties and setting Mode to Multiply. Then I added a Gaussian blur to the first layer, 2px wide. Then I added a Motion Blur, set to 57 degrees and 200 distance. Then I saved it as a gif. Perfect!
