Hi Chad, I had made some changes to my Pro Events calendar and customized some things like the truncation in the calendar view.

However, when I updated ProEvents all my changes were gone. I realized I needed to make a custom block view for my C5 root directory, as you describe in your tutorial. No problem. I can do that.

However, what happens when updates for ProEvents come out? Will my custom block override any of those updates or will those updates still be read by the system. As you add new features I wouldn't want to lose out on those, but i also want to keep my customization. How does all that work?
