Custom Events Calendar Months not advancing

I am using a custom event calendar build by my company's previous website developer. It works well on most websites but on this website the calendar will not advance beyond the current month. Also it seems to disable the Concrete5 toolbar when I visit the page while logged in. Has anyone encountered a stuck calendar with other plugins or similar issues?
