Custom Page Attribute content not shooing on search result page

Hi
I have created a custom attribute which gets filled in with text and automatically published onto a page. I have added that attribute to the "Content included in sitewide page search index."
when i search for a peace of text that was published inside that attribute, the search result page shows me the page name it is on and the URL link bellow but it does not show me the usual snippet of text highlighting the word searched for.
How do I get text snippets to show up like it would if it were text published in the add to main area?
