Custom Templates with Stacks
Permalink
Is there a way to apply a custom template to a stack? I figured this would simply be a matter of copying the core "core_stack_display" block and placing a "templates" folder inside, in the same manner as any other block, but this does not produce any sort of result.
I have searched extensively before asking, but maybe I missed something very obvious? It would seem like this situation would be common, so I'm surprised I found nothing on the matter.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

EDIT/CORRECTION - As enlil notes below, from c5.6 stacks can have custom templates.

You can also use my Universal Content Puller block to load a stack and then put a wrapper round the stack (wrappers are UCP's way of doing templates that require further parameters)
Wrappers are currently available to wrap pulled content with Formigo Containers, Magic Tipple and any template for a regular content block.

Alternately you could apply custom templates to the blocks that make up the stack.

C5 DOES in fact allow you to use custom templates around stacks !! I had a package started for the marketplace, when I focused my template development on other projects.
Rony is correct that creating a custom template for a stack could be useless, as the actual content in the stack can change leaving your css broken!! Although, if all you want to do is wrap a stack with some border, background color, etc., custom templates are definately an option!
I'm adding the stack templates to my Enlil Transparent Content add-on(http://www.concrete5.org/marketplace/addons/enlil-transparent-conte... ), and will grant a license therefore to those in this thread previous to this post, who don't already have one, for reference !!
