Customer Choice disappearing

Hi - I've set up a global customer choice for a selection of dress sizes and yet whenever I try to add it to a new product it is not available in the drop down. Any ideas - I did change something that made the default say 'please select' instead of 'none' but that was all.

How did you manage to change it to please select, I am having problems with this?
