dashboard is gone

from my home page I click on dashboard and the message is: "page not found". what should I do?
Is this a new install? did you upgrade? are you using pretty url's?
I am using pretty urls. I had been playing around on the site map and actually deleted "dashboard" thinking that it didn't belong with my pages files. Stupid probably but I had done the same thing before and it was ok.
Try to add it via single pages again go to;
Pages and Themes->Single Pages
Since you deleted Dashboard I'm thinking you can login and then go to;
http://yourdomain.com/index.php/pages/single/...
(note that Dashboard is not included before pages since it was deleted)
Then just type "dashboard" at the bottom box and click Add, see if that helps.
