Dashboard not showing
Permalink 1 user found helpful
EMERGENCY!!! I was editing my website earlier today, added a bunch of pages and content without any problems. Now when I log into my website, the upper bar where the "dashboard" and "edit this page" buttons usually are is EMPTY!!!! what is going on??? I've had an unusually high amt of traffic today, could that be causing it to go buggy??
HELP!!!
HELP!!!
that didn't help...I didn't change any settings that I know of and the dashboard isn't showing up on any of the pages
Something on the page is breaking either javascript or php before the page is fully rendered. The dashboard bar is the last thing rendered, so is most vulnerable to something breaking concrete5 before the dashboard bar is shown.
If it affects all pages, maybe you edited something in a global area, a widely used stack, or the theme.
The solution is likely the same as before, you just need to revert more pages.
Clear the cache (and maybe switch it off while working on the site).
You should also take a backup now, before going too far back, just in case.
Then start reverting changes.
Alternatively, revert to a backup from before the changes and start applying them again.

I know how to go to old page versions but not old versions of the site. I ran a back up a few weeks ago so I have it available but I don't know how to restore it. In the meantime I tried just manually undoing everything I did before this issue came up, deleted all the pages I made and even deleted the theme I applied to those four pages. Nothing changed. I cleared my cache. I don't know what to do this is so frustrating
I just restored it to the backup I ran a couple of weeks ago and that did not fix it. The dashboard is still not showing up.

Thanks John! That solved my issue, which occurred when editing a page.
In the sitemap, select the page and then page versions. Approve an old version and delete the version that is giving the problem.
