Database scripts

I'm looking for a couple of examples of scripts to import a member list (.csv file) into a C5 userlist database.. I have created all the fields in the C5 user list using existing user attributes.
I know there are a couple of blocks that can do this, but want to use this as a learning tool..
Can anybody help me out??

Are you trying to import users or just update attributes for already existing users?
