difference between developer docs located at two URL

Hi,

I wanted to start block development for concrete5, currently for legacy 5.6 and later for 5.7+

Before starting out, wanted to know if I am on the right track. Does the following doc apply to legacy 5.6. Basically, what's the difference between developer docs at the following url's.
https://www.concrete5.org/documentation/developers...

http://documentation.concrete5.org/developers...

Also, pls tell me whether, the following "building block training" is for 5.7 or legacy 5.6 ? If it's applies to only 5.7, then working through, will it enable the dev to develop for 5.6 ?

https://www.concrete5.org/documentation/recorded-trainings/building-...

Thanks
dk

5.6 docs and 5.7 docs (current version)
----------------
For example you can buy old book from 2001 and learn HTML4 or JS - the basic concepts, ideas and so on are the same+- so it will help you for HTML5 or newest js ver
----------------
You can use the old docs (videos and stuff) combine with the newest docs. Of course its not 100% the same (the systems change over time) so its better to use the "newest" docs for 5.7.

For block dev the videos series (5.6) are fine and helpful. Again combine this with the new 5.7 docs.
