disable »ugly« urls when using »pretty« ones
Permalink
Hi,
I'm using pretty urls on my c5 installation. So far so good - and »pretty«
But for SEO reasons I want the old »ugly« urls to be not anymore available. If using pretty urls every page is available under two different urls which shouldn't be the case.
Is there a way to avoid this?
I thought about changing the rewrite rule so that every old-type url is redirected (Code 302) to the new one, but I'm not quite firm with mod_rewrite rules.
Cheers,
meinzlein

I was writing a post about this very issue when I was searching to see if anyone else had my issue.

And example.com/blog/ should be available as example.com/blog/ only.
So example.com/blog souldn't serve the actual site but redirect to example.com/blog/
