Does anyone know an add-on that can do this?

Hi all, I'm looking for a gallery add-on that can allow me to have simple square images either in black and white or desaturated colour that show full colour with smooth transition when the user mouses over. The ability to show a larger version or link to another page would be needed also.

I've looked at lots of galleries but can't see one that does this (mosaic Gallery doesn't allow same sized images, only ones of a different shape).

The default Image block that comes with C5 allows you to define an image and a rollover image.

I'm not sure if you're wanting the block at actually render the desaturated version for you, but if you're willing to create both versions ahead of time, the Image Block will get you 90% there.

You could then create a custom view for the block to use a LightBox on popup when you click the image.

You could use Image Attributes to define a URL to link to and grab that from within your custom template when the user clicks the image in full view.

Thanks, but I would need it to be able to show a larger version of the image when clicked, like a standard lightbox and I would expect to have to upload the mono and colour images separately. I see this effect on loads of sites, I'm a bit surprised that something like this isn't in the concrete5 marketplace.

I've tried adding my own jquery sliders in the past but image management is a bit of a nightmare to be honest. Any other suggestions very welcome!

The larger version is very possible with a custom template for the image block.

You could do it with the Slideshow block too with a custom template.
