Downloading existing files to host site

I am having major issues trying to "move" my trial site over to my host site. I have spoke with my host site and they say that there are files missing which I why my site doesn't work properly. How can I go about downloading these existing "files" so I can upload them to my host site?

Happy to help, but need a little bit more information. Can you post the results from phpinfo() (minus any personal/private info) so we can see if your webserver has the necessary modules installed?

You can rename your current index.php to cc5.php .
Put the index.txt file that I've attached here into that folder. Rename index.txt to index.php.
Browse to your website.
Post the results (minus any personal/private information) back here.
(can't attach *.php files here :)

Xen

PS. maybe you could post a screenshot of what you are getting

As I think about this more, it may be better to download the Concrete5 distribution package as a whole and upload those files to your target host. Perform the installation as instructed. Then perform a backup of your trial account and restore on your new host.
Never tried this, but seems like it might be an option.

As far as I know there is no way to copy / paste a file to move/re-home a MySQL database.

Thanks Xen! But after MUCH tinkering I finally realized that I didn't have the "theme" folder installed in the "packages" folder and VOILA -- It works like magic! I'm so new at this that I think I was confusing my host site!

Glad you got it ironed out. Not sure how you 'moved' the database, but if its working, then you obviously have things under control :)

Good luck !
