Duplicate Pages and their themes

Hi there,
I have several pages (with subsequent child pages) which I need copy to other parts of my site. However, everytime I do this it always resets their pages themes back to the standard homepage theme. I have to reassign them all again manually. Is there a way around this? Surely if you copy a page it should copy all of it's attributes, not reset them.
