Hello good people!

I have a client who wants to add the ability for his clients to pay invoices online using Stripe. The eCommerce add-on (and eCommerce Strip add-on) are designed to sell products if I'm not mistaken.

Question: Has anyone integrated eCommerce to take payment for arbitrary amounts? From my research this is tricky as payment gateways tend to want a SKU tied to a specific amount, but I know it's not impossible (see:http://coryschires.com/allowing-customers-to-manually-pay-invoices-... ). If so, what add-on did you use? ...or can you provide any hints on code or general flow?
