eCommerce now requiring customers to sign in before checking out

Ever since installing the recent update last week, potential customers visiting my site can't check out. Instead of being prompted to enter their billing and shipping addresses, they are asked to sign in.
In the setting section of eCommerce's dashboard, I have the "force customers to sign in" option turned off.
Any ideas why this would be happening?
