eCommerce - Quantity in Stock

I set the Product Information "Quantity in Stock" to 225. Rather than showing the number left in stock, the form on the Product Information shows number of tickets purchased. Is that how it is supposed to work?

What will customers see when the stock limit is reached?

You can check it by yourself, just add a test product with the stock quantity 1 and do a demo order of that product. After completion of that order, just check the product listings. You will see the output.
