eCommerce addon - questions and best choice

Hi everybody,

We have a website built with Concrete5 and we search a solution for an ecommerce functionality.

Therefore, we have some questions about the ecommerce addon after trying it onhttp://ecommerce.c5host.com :

1/ Does the transactional emails are activated and customizable?
2/ Can we define a currency for each country ?
3/ Can we define sales tax for each country (19,6% ; 5,5% ; etc..) and by zone ?
4/ Can we define shipping fees for each country and by zone ?

We don't know if we must to make a subdomain with a dedicated shop (prestashop, magento) or if we must choose the eCommerce addon for Concrete5.

Thanks in advance.

Best,

kbsd

On (4), to do that you will need either my Zone Based Shipping addon (variable fees per zone calculated from cart content) http://www.concrete5.org/marketplace/addons/zone-based-shipping/...

or Mainio's Regional Shipping addon (fixed fees per zone)

First of all, I would like to point out that seems like your requirements are so big that it would probably be better to do it with alternative platform. You will need probably have at least some level of limitations with eCommerce.

But everything is possible, here are the answers:

1/ Does the transactional emails are activated and customizable?
>> Yes, like any email in c5.

2/ Can we define a currency for each country ?
>> Yes but this is really limited, it just auto-selects the currency based on the language version. So you will basically need to have own products for each country/language/currency.

3/ Can we define sales tax for each country (19,6% ; 5,5% ; etc..) and by zone ?
>> Yes.

4/ Can we define shipping fees for each country and by zone ?
>> Yes, as John replied above.

So for (2), We can't have a different price for each country, right ?

No, you'll need to have separate products for each country if you want different prices for them.

Otherwise it will be, e.g. for product that has price 10:
- 10€
- $10
- 10£
- 10$ (AUD)
- etc.
