"Elemental" block menu

I'm working on the "Elemental" theme. I'm trying to build up the menu (accidentally removed) but I can only develop it "vertically". Anyone can help me to place it "orizzontally"? A pertinent .jpg file was attached to explain better my problem. Thank you.
I believe the Custom Template should be "Responsive Header Navigation" to fix that.
Thanks, but "elemental" template has only got an Auto-Nav/Header Navigation. I can't see "responsive" anywhere.
I just installed a clean copy of C5 which comes by default with the Elemental theme and the header nav is set to "Responsive Header Navigation" for the custom template.
To get this you click on the block, select Design & Custom Template, click the gear icon, and under Custom Template select that from the list and click Save.

Thanks for your last advice. It's going better. Not as an ordinary menu yet, but better.
