EMERGENCY HELP!!!!!!! Whole site disappeared!

I honestly wasn't doing ANYTHING that I know of that was dangerous at all. I was frustrated that somehow my permissions weren't allowing me to move things around in the site map when suddenly next thing I know EVERTHING is gone. Literally ALL of my pages. I was not doing a thing in the ftp at the time and was simply working in the dashboard. Now my entire site is gone and the ONLY thing that anyone can get to when they go to the home page is the log in screen, but when you log in it doesn't take you anywhere since ALL of my public pages have vanished besides login and register.
The only way to get to the dashboard is to go to the url manually - the bar is gone at the top too. But, when I get into the dashboard I can view everything and it claims I have 300+ page versions, etc, but it won't even let me add a new place holder page at all, so I can't even put up a message for my visitors to know I'm having technical difficulties.
I tried clearing the cache in case that would do anything, but it did not. I'm so terrified that I might have lost all of our info and would have to start over.

I am REALLY freaking out here and don't know how I can tell my client I lost everything. PLEASE, ANYONE, HELP ME!!!!

So I figured it out and boy am I relieved.
I remembered that a few hours ago I decided to set up "advanced permissions" and I guess somehow I locked even myself (which means EVERYONE else in the public as well) out of my entire site. I'm a genius to be able to do something so stupid.
I got the idea to go back in and delete the advanced permissions code to see if that would set all to right... and it did!
Lesson of the day for me: BE CAREFUL when using advanced permissions!!!
