Error connecting to community

I'm trying to reconnect a site we just built to the community. I don't recall connecting it before, but the site wants me to reconnect it.

So, I went through the motions, and I keep getting this error:
You must login with a username that is an owner or editor of this project.


Any ideas how I can resolve this?

Hello - I'm having the same problem. Neither myself nor the developer recall connecting to the Community before, yet it says there is a link and asks for a login neither of us know..

any answers to this, or how to UNLINK the current connection from within an admin account on the site and start over?

I don't know how to unlink a site. There must be a way to in the database. Anyone know??

In our case, it turns out a developer who helped us build the theme had linked the site to their C5 account and did not tell us.

I finally realized that this could be the reason for the error, contacted the developer and had him make us the owner of the site. All is good now!
