The following errors occurred when attempting to process your request:
mysql error: [-32000: Cache write error] in CacheExecute(C:/wamp/www/concrete/caribbeanrado/files/cache/5e/adodb_5e7eb47a3a1948399754d4c2a5cbd896.cache, select btID from BlockTypes where btIsInternal = 0)
I have tried to remove the cache dir but that does not seem to help.

It sounds like your files directory is not writable by the server. Trying changing the permissions and see if that does the trick.
Its a windows machine and I have given that cache folder full access. I did that before I posted.
Can you confirm that it is writable by seeing if you can upload a file via the C5 file manager? If that works, I'd be glad to take a look at it if you can give me access to the CMS.
Hi Justin, got package to install and run perfectly on a live online testing server but using wamp on my local machine i get a very similar message.
mysql error: [-32000: Cache write error] in CacheExecute(C:/wamp/www/C5 db test/files/cache/c4/adodb_c4f510388034bb5a73eb9e6d49db432f.cache, select ctID from PageTypes)
Any further thoughts?...
Okay a quick update. I got it to install fine on a different c5 site on my local machine. The only difference between the two installs is a difference in the mysql tables in one they are in mixed case and in the other in lowercase. One was created with the apache rewrite module off and the other with it on. It installed on the c5 db all in lower case ie areagroupblocktype but not on install where they were in mixed case ie AreaGroupBlockTypes.
Hope this info is of use.
Phil

As a test trying disabling the C5 cache (found on Dashboard -> Sitewide Settings -> Debug) and then try to install the package.
I don't currently have access to a Windows machine, so I can't test this out, but as soon as I do I will give it a try.
Also - to any one on the core team or anyone else who might have an idea - any thoughts as to what specifically would cause this error?

I tried that and deleting the cache folder but it made no difference same error message. In fact having creating various c5 installs on my local machine with apache module rewrite on and off and altering upper and lowercase in the mysql database, it wont install on any variation and gives same error message. Most curious that it did install on an earlier development site on my local machine. I cant see any setting that would make the difference.
Any further updates on this? I am still not able to use the plugin on the wamp server. As with the other user above it worked just fine on the live server but once again I would love to do some work with it on the testing (WAMP) server.
Oh, Microsoft...
I'll try and install this on a Windows system as soon as I can so I can get this fixed.

There's not really a solution yet, but if one is found, it will be posted here. Still seems to be related to Windows permissions and/or C5 something in the C5 core. I've been able to install fine on Windows.
