Exclude areas from search

Hi,

I have a C5.7 site where I need to exclude some areas from C5's search index.
I still want the pages to appear in search results based on their page name, but how can I exclude a few areas?

Thanks
Dave

Check out this documentation page -http://documentation.concrete5.org/editors/dashboard/system-and-mai...

You can find it in Dashboard -> System & Settings

Hi,

Thanks, but I need to block a global area that isn't in that list?

I looked at the code and I don't think global areas are indexed anyway.

the function used to index pages lists all non-global areas only.

Also if it was, a search on content in a global area would return all pages including that area which would be weird, to say the least.

Good point! I see there is a clear search index button in the dashboard, unfortunately it doesn't really seem to work.
