Extending C5 Permissions

Hi guys,

Is it easy and also possible to add new Permissions to the current list of for example 'Edit Properties' or 'Approve Page'?

It would be handy, I think!

They already exist in version 5.6 if you have 'Advanced Permissions' turned on but don't turn on advanced permissions if you don't need them because you can't turn them off again once you enable them.

Go to your sitemap and click on a page and choose 'Set Permissions'. You will see 'Edit Properties' and 'Approve Page' listed.

Thanks for your reply. I think my question was not clear enough. I'd like to add *new* permissions to the existing list.

For example the permission 'Edit Company Details' which then allows you to edit >10 page attributes for specific users.

Any ideas?

Couldn't you get around that with user attributes?

Create a checkbox attribute and check for attribute when page is in edit mode. If the logged in user does have the attribute, then (s)he can edit the block in question.

The thing is that some information is stored in page attributes, and not in a normal block. Do you understand what I mean?
