Facebook Connect

Has anyone tried using Facebook Connect for member login? OpenID is great, but I'm looking to cover as many options as possible.

Thanks!

i created a customized web application with fb connect. i haven't take the time to use it with c5. however, fb connect is a great tool to engage fb-like activity outside of fb. i'm impressed with it's functionality so far.

I'm planning on. I'll reply here when I do. I've done it in a Zend Framework and it's pretty straight forward. Pretty sure I'd like to do a block that can bring up a login on any page. Suggestions?

I've been considering creating a login package that allows for multiple login options for a site including Facebook Connect, Twitter, and LDAP. I've already got the LDAP part done for a project that has been completed, and I don't think adding info for FB and Twitter would be much more difficult.

See my post in the thread linked above. I finally got around to putting together a proof of concept for this.

It requires a little more development, but I'll release it as a package soon.

Because Facebook has their own giant system that is more popular and powerful that OpenId. That's how Facebook is, they like to monopolize everything they can
