Fatal error after deleting set in file manager

Hi all,
I have a broken page on a site I'm working on. I had a set of images that were being pulled into an image gallery on the page. It turned out I didn't need the images organized into a set, so I deleted the set in the file manager (but not the actual images). Now I can't load the page at all and only get the message "An unexpected error occurred." Also, I can't delete the page in my dashboard sitemap, and get an "Unable to load sitemap data" error. I figure I've screwed up the database, and tried to repair through phpMyAdmin, but with no luck. At this point I don't know of any recourse other than to reinstall Concrete5, rebuild my site, and avoid making the same mistake again.
If anyone else has experienced a similar issue and found an easier fix, I'd appreciate the enlightenment! Thanks.
