File linking not working

Hi,
I've nearly finished a site for a client using 5.6.3.3 but on trying to add some pdf files I've run into a problem with the files not linking correctly.
The file loads into File Manager through either the 'File' or 'Content' blocks, but when you click on the file in the page it takes you to a 'Page Not Found' page.
I've attached 2 screen shots - one of the File Manager's file property for one of the pdf's and the associated page link for that file.
I've created many sites with C5 on the same server and setup and haven't had this file issue before. Images are loading and viewing fine.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

You don't happen to be using the Multiple Domains add-on are you? I've seen this issue with that plugin, but not without it.

Thank you for the links hutman, I had searched in the forums but hadn't come across those 2. The first link enabled me to fix the problem. My download_file was missing, so I had added it and now it's all good. Thanks so much.
