File Manager 0kb, file not uploading

Hi

I've been having some issues with the file manager upload files to the CRM. Basically, it will load and time out. The file information will say 0kb and it does not appear to be there.

What I've tried

1) I've verified the file location, name and the permissions are 777
2) I've tried to change the file name location to a different file location. As well as reverting back to the original. As Well as several combinations of these situations..
3) I've tried to look in the folder itself and have seen no changes after tying to upload.
4) I've tried creating the "incoming" Folder and have had no success upload with this method either.
5) I've tried more than one file type, I've also tried more than one file size. I've verified the file type is acceptable as well as the file size. I've also verified the file type is listed in the file type window.
6) all other functionality of the page appears normal.

I'm starting to wonder if a entire uninstall and reinstall of concrete is need due to some install/database corruption.

Please help, suggestions would be great.

More info
Version: 5.4.2.1

Thanks,

Mike

I had a similar problem when also attempting to download multiple files over our network, for some reason it works now I don't know what was done to fix it?

But for a work around I was able to upload single files via the upload option or upload multiple files from my local drives.

I've tried only one file, and locally located on my pc. I've also tired from more than one PC, more than one file, and other combinations...

Help??? Please...

I'm not sure they are related but they are around the same time i was trying to upload the file.

I guess no one cares? Since I've had no useful comments.... I'm switching back to wordpress or joomla, obvious the support is just not there for this product...

Hi there,

Sounds like you need some support other than the Community.

Suggest that you generate a support ticket I am sure they will help you with your problem.:)

I can only say that I have never had a problem with the file manager so I don't know how I could help you out?

Would hate to see you leave as concrete5 is the best CMS and only destine to get better with the release of version 5.5

Hope you stay around.

Hi mboyle,
That sounds pretty frustrating. I'm having a little trouble understanding exactly what is happening so could you try this for me?

Create a file named test.txt on your desktop. Type the word "testing" inside of it and attempt to upload it through the dashboard file manager.

I'm guessing from what you are describing is that this will "time out". Is this what happened? When you say "time out" do you mean the box with the spinning disk runs and runs? Do you receive a server error after if fails? If you can select the file after this in the "File Manager" and select "Properties" what does it say in the "URL" field? Could you post that here? If it's private you can replace the domain name with "www.example.com". Could you also post what it says in the "Default Location" field? Again you can remove the items that would be too revealing but try to keep as much as possible.

I know this seems trivial and you have likely already tried it, but it would help me to get a bit of understanding on the issue at hand.

Fresh install or update of C5?

Is PHP safe mode off?

Have you tried a php.ini file in site root?

Try this post:

Might be worth trying?

Are other users able to upload files to your site?

would you be willing to supply a limited account, (you can create one in user management with a time limit account) to allow one of us to test it?

If you want you can pm me some login details and I will give it a go?

Your error code is likely appearing because the images have not been uploaded and then the file is trying to fun a function on a blank object (at a guess)
