File Manager not displaying images

I'm trying to upload images to a new site. For some reason, they're not displaying. I've never had this issue on any c5 sites I've built. Not sure what's going on. It happens when I upload individually and when i choose to upload multiple. May be a permissions issue but i'm just not sure.
I'm not able to preview them, but i am able to download them.
Any ideas?

Try clearing your cache and restarting Apache.
You say it's a new site, is it a new install of php as well? Is GD installed?
Yes, It's a new install of PHP. Not sure what you mean by GD. Thanks so much for helping me.
Check your php.ini and confirm php_gd2 is enabled.

Oh, you should also make sure you have the correct folder permissions (755) on 'public_html/files' and subfolders.
Both of those things were done. Still at a loss.
From within the filemanager, rescan all images (bulk options top left in the filemanager). Lets see if that solves it for you.
That didn't work. Still seeing blank previews of images.
Concrete5.6.0 & 5.6.0.1 have issues displaying images in IE. this bug was fixed in 5.6.0.2. What version are you running?
It's the latest version and I'm using FF, Safari and Chrome.
