File Manager storage area cleanup
Permalink
I thought I came across this several months ago, but can't seem to find anything about it now...
File Manager creates folders in the /files folder to store uploaded files to. After a certain amount of time where files are uploaded and removed from the file storage area, File Manager leaves behind a bunch of empty folders.
We have an automated job that automatically updates some of the files in our File Manager, so the number of those empty folders getting left behind is growing very rapidly, and I'm concerned about potential performance issues on the site because of this.
I thought I read some time ago that there is a utility (an automated job?) that goes and cleans up all those empty folders... anyone have any idea where I can find it?
Thanks!

There was an addon in the prb that cleaned up file space. I cant find it in the PRB or recently released. Maybe it auto-dropped out from inattention.
Thanks for the replies.
Do you happen to remember what it was named? I searched through the add-ons to find it, and didn't see it there.
If it was auto-dropped, is there some way to at least recover what was done on it? If I have to write the program myself, at least then I wouldn't have to start completely from scratch.
