Like, so seriously you guys. The avatar editor included with the profile edit area relies on flash, which is way outdated and not very reliable. To me, having to rely on a browser plugin for a particular site features isn't very ideal.

This post comes from a frustration I've run into while on Chrome. See attached.
This same thing happened numerous other times in other browsers, and have had to go through the painful frustration of having to mess around with installing flash (or upgrading).

My thoughts are that flash is a dying technology, and the flash avatar editor NEEDS TO GO! There are many jquery-based image and avatar editors out there, so this would be a much more practical approach.

I'd like to see something like this replace the current avatar editor:
