I'm designing my first ecommerce site and am very new to coding. I've been asked to design an ecommerce site which sells a shirt based on the customers specific measurements.

Once the customer selects a shirt, they need to enter their specific measurements before payment. I would like to know how I can ask the customer for specific data (ie their measurements)and have this information passed onto the checkout for that particular customer?

I've seen this done on other sites so I guess there is a way.

Where would I start with such a problem? Would something like proforms help? If so, can this connect to something like openCart to complete the payment?

Need a shove in the right direction!
