Forms and Paypal

Hi all.
I have to make a form that: 1) passes info off as a email to a client and also 2) passes the
person filling out the form over to Paypal , and return trips them back to the site.
The return trip part from Paypal is all working but I can't get the form to use PHP mail to send off an email while also sending someone to Paypal.
I was thinking maybe on the return trip when the person is passed back to the website, the come back to the original page and then the email is triggered. But somewhere along the line paypal doesn't pass the right variables.
Anyone have any thoughts on this? Had I known about this need for the customer I would have used CC5.6 but as it stands I'm using CC5.7. oy.
