Free(drag and drop)form layout

Hi all,
I'm wondering is it possible to do drag&drop freeform layout. So you could organize layout with only drag&drop, without any boundaries.
If you are familar with liferay freeform layout you know what I mean. Here is the example of liferays layout types.

Themes in the marketplace have different page 'layouts' built into them. Some themes have only 2-3 different layouts while others have 5-10 different layouts available. Concrete5 calls these different layouts 'Page Types'. You choose the page type (layout) for the page when you add a new page to your site or you can change an existing page's layout by hovering over the 'Edit' button and choosing 'Design'. To my knowledge, there are no themes I've come across that offer a true 'free form' layout.
