Full cache recommended in production?

Hello, I'd like to know if you recommend that a site should be put in full cache once it's deployed and the html/css files won't change anymore. Any reason not to? The cache will flush when a user edits a page, right?

only do this on the homepage or entrance pages. I had issues with full page cache and the checkout process in ecommerce for a client that was attributed to this, so only use full page cache on a per page level on an as needed basis.

That is my opinion.
