Get new block to appear at the top of the page

Is there a way of having new info that is added to a page appear at the top rather than underneath?
what do you mean, like if you add 2 content blocks to an area? you can do it but it needs a bit of hacking
It's a News page, so the newest information needs to appear first. The new block needs to appear above all the other blocks...
