GIFs images aren't working in 5.8.2.1

I have images of type GIFs, they were working right in concrete 5.7.13
Then I upgraded to version 8.2.1, and the GIFs aren't working/animated, and they show as a JPG image, and when I right click on the image and select "Save image as..." it saves the image as a JPG image not as a GIF
I tried to rescan the image from the File Manager, but that didn't fix the problem.
Is this a problem in version 8.2.1 or what could be wrong?

I also have to add that when I download the image from the File Manager, it downloads as a GIF, and the GIF is animated and working as expected. So the image source is working right but when I show it in an image block it isn't working properly.

This only happens with a full install of C5 with sample content. Setting up C5 empty will not affect animated gifs.
