groups & core commerce weird error!?

Hi all,
We recently upgraded a c5 install from 5.4.2.2 to 5.5.2.1 and all is working fine except groups.
If I create a new group, create a new user and add them to that group then go to the store add and try and add a product to my cart when the cart tries to hit this page:
site.com/index.php/cart/update/
I get this:
now this doesnt happen if i do the same operation as a guest user or as an administrator. Anyone got any ideas or seen anything like this before?

I'm sorry to say that I'm not posting with a fix but more to confirm that your not the only one getting this weird error message...
I am posting because I am getting this without using groups at all. I should point out that this only occurs in the mobile version of my site (not currently live) and only seems to have started occurring for me since upgrading to 5.6.0.2.
If I have two items for sale on the same page, this first one seems to throw this error when I click add to cart but the second item seems to behave as expected.
Sorry I couldn't help but I just wanted to put some extra info out there for any of the smart cookies on these forums to see.
