Having a problem installing PDF_Viewer

I tried the builtin installer, but it just hung, so I downloaded the zip and put the block as in the attachment. However the block does not show as waiting to be installed. Help!

Does your pdf_viewer directory directly contain the controller.php or does it contain a second pdf_viewer?

It needs to be /packages/pdf_viewer/controller.php

A friend who knows a lot more about this did the following:

<<< just grabbed the actual block files from /packages/pdf_viewer/blocks/pdf_viewer and slipped them into /application/blocks/pdf_viewer >>>

and

<<< changed the namespace in the block's controller.php file to read "namespace Application\Block\PdfViewer;" >>>

It solved the problem, but not sure how.
