Help me get my pages to publish

I am using Version: 5.4.1.1 from within my hosting company 1and1.com. I've gone into the Sitemap and created my desired pages, saved the version, published and exited, but when I type in the address I am returned to a page that says "Error 404:Not Found". BTW: Home page works, but that is the only functional page.

What am I doing wrong? Please help!

If you can access your page by adding index.php in the mix yoursite.com/index.php/services than it will most likely be pretty urls. To enable pretty urls in 5.4 go to sitewide settings and on the first tab there is pretty url options. Screenshot attached.

There is also info there on the dash about hta.access if it doesn't auto write.

Thank you. That was it. Just turned off the Pretty URLs. Don't want to mess with .htaccess right now.
