How do I restrict access to Page Properties on Edit Bar for a User or Group?

I have advanced permissions enabled for a job listings page on a site in development. I have created a group of users to edit the page and have set it up so they can only edit 2 content blocks on he page (which is way cool.) But, I would like to deny access to the Page Properties that shows up on Edit Page dropdown. I don't want someone whose only function is to update the listings to be able to even see that such a thing as Page Properties even exists, much less let them access it. I haven't found an answer in the forums, so am posting here. Thanks in advance for any help.

I think you can do this by page permission

Go to your sitemap, click option for show system pages. Dashboard pages will now be visible, find the one for page properties. Click permissions on that page, and take away those members right to read, write etc. It should now no longer be a visible option for those members.

I don't think this will work. I tried it, but couldn't find "Page Properties" anywhere in the system pages. It isn't really a page is it? I also want to hide Properties from the edit bar, but haven't found a way to do it.

Thanks for any help.

Yeah, I think you are correct. I have the dashboard and all pages under the dashboard blocked from this particular group, so even if a Page Properties page did exist, it would already have been blocked. Would love to know how to do this...

You can collapse that area to all users through an html css tweak combo, admins would still have the functions available through sitemap, and no user would have it in drop down, they would only see edit. If your not sure how to do this, and want to be able to, let me know, and tonight/tommorow I will write out how to exactly accomplish it.

Sorry not to have replied sooner, but if you have time to do that, that would be awesome. For this particular client, it would be a workable solution. It's not a live site, so no major urgency.
