How? Not load regular content in mobile theme?

Hi
Is there a way to not even load (!) content from the main version into the mobile version? In the regular theme there are some blocks which contain large data (concerning bytes). Can loading this be avoided?
I thought I might create a new block that is only shown in the regular theme, but my guess is, that would still beloaded - or could/can I simply leave the areas I do not want to see (=load in the mobile version) out of the theme?

if you're familiar with creating "Areas" via "page types" you could create an area in the regular theme that contains the content, but not include that area in the page type for the mobile theme. This assumes you are using two different themes for display...
