How to add more emoticons?

Hey all! Sorry for the numerous different topics but I had to post them separately as they aren't related! :(
So often user demand more creative and interesting emoticons be added, I'll get them, but how to I go about adding them so the users can add them in the forum reply interface?

I have plans to work on an add-on that relates to this. It will allow you to define your own emoticons, among other things. Could be a couple months before it's available, though.
I don't see why there should be a new addon for this! The lack of customization with the concrete 5 discussion forum is astounding, should switch to other paid services likes IPBoard :@

Is this a feature request for the discussion forums addon? You should probably post in that addon's area.

Im seriously disappointed at the lack of customizabilty concrete5 offers.
