How to Customise Login form

Permalink 1 user found helpful
Hi All

I have a login form at

http://www.akhter.co.uk/index.php/akhter-group/nhs-login/...

However I need to capture the users name, email address and telephone number when a new user registers, is it possible to change the login form to allow this?

Thanks in advance

Steve

If you read up on user attributes and adding attributes, when you add a user attribute you can elect to show it on the form.

Dashboard > Users > Attributes

Thank you John The Fish!

I have changed the registration form but we have trouble with the concrete system sending email here, so a new user that registers never gets the automatic email sent to them to vaidate there email.

However what I could do as an alternative is to change the wording that they see on this page to something more appropriate:

http://www.akhter.co.uk/index.php/register/register_success_validat...

Is it possible to change the wording on this page?

Thanks

Steve

Yeah, the easiest way to do it would be to edit the language file.
1) Download it fromhttps://www.transifex.com/projects/p/concrete5/language/en/...
2) Download Poedit and open the file
3) Find the phrase you'd like to edit
4) Make your changes and save the file under the name en_US.po
5) Upload it to yourwebsite.com/languages/en_US/LC_MESSAGES/en_US.po (there should be an additional .mo file, upload this one as well)
6) Open your config/site.php and put the following line at the bottom:
define('LOCALE', 'en_US');

7) Clear cache and you're done.

Thank you for the reply Moongrab, I edited the Register.php file on this occasion which was sufficient for what I wanted to do, but that link for the website will no doubt be useful to me in the future.

Thanks again

Steve
